Hello Tumblr friends. How did you guys like the Pacquiao and Marquez fight on Sat 11/12/2011? Although many of you do not really watch or follow the sport of boxing, it is still one of the greatest sports of all time. I grew up in the Mike Tyson generation like many others, and I am happy that fighters like Pacquiao, and Mayweather exist because it keeps the sport alive.
Now lets bring it back to the fight over last weekend. The fight was almost the same as the last 2 they had fought against each other, and as I expected it was everything but explosive. Was it because Marquez’s corner was telling him that he was winning the fight, causing him to take it easy and not take chances in the 12th round? Was it because they did this fight for quick cash? Was this just to put on a show to encourage or even promote a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather? I really don’t know, and maybe they are really almost evenly matched. Would I watch part 4 Pacquiao vs Marquez? Probably not.
The clip I posted was just to show how stepping on each others toes may happen when you have a South Paw vs Orthodox fighter, but this time it looked more intentional and happened a little more frequent throughout the fight. Once again this write up is just my personal opinion. I would love to see the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight happen. Not favoring any sides, I just want to see what may be one of the greatest fights of my lifetime.
